When cleaning is required, simply brush any accumulated debris off of the Filter Guard with your hand or a soft brush of some sort like a tooth brush.

Available for both 13mm intakes and 17mm intakes, the Stainless Steel Filter Guard will fit most common filters. The 13mm size fits filters such as the Eheim 2211, 2213, and 2215 while the 17mm Filter Guard fits filters such as the Eheim 2217 and 2026 and others. Please note that Stainless Steel Filter Guards fit over the filter's intake pipe, NOT over the strainer. If your filter has an integrated strainer, these Filter Guards will not work without modification.
